A patient case study is presented to a select audience (typically the Respiratory Therapy hospital staff and intensivists), highlighting the patients clinical history, chief complain, clinical findings at admission and during hospital stay, emphasizing on airway intervention events, laboratory and diagnostic imaging studies as well as the initiation, management and weaning off mechanical ventilation during patients journey in the hospital. The student selects this one patient case from all patients where the student was included in the patients circle of care for at least 2 shifts, always in consultation with their clinical instructor.
