One of the key pillars of success for any business is a healthy financial bottom line. This course breaks down the key components required for financial success through a practical and hands on learning approach. The course build-up includes understanding accounting transactions, and utilizing methods to calculate and control common costs (food, labour, cleaning, etc.) Students will create operational budgets, revenue and expense forecasts, income statements, and balance sheets. Interpreting and analyzing financial statements that include key industry ratios, variance trend analysis, and KPIs in order to create positive operational strategies to impact considerations on the financial bottom line are also explored.
