This course will create the opportunity for students to apply their learning from previous courses while layering on the importance of the management cycle of problem identification, strategic business planning, and results measurement. The importance of balancing customer centric, socially responsible management, and profit based activities will also be examined. Key to the long-term success of any business is risk management planning; the components required for a successful risk management plan will be applied through case work. The course will conclude by applying principles from this and other courses to address a complex, real, and current issue in senior living residence. The result being a comprehensive strategic plan that includes rational for suggestions and measurement plans to evaluate results.
