In this course, students examine the various governing bodies and organizations involved in the delivery of sport and the career opportunities that exist across the industry. Course topics include the role of single sport, multisport and other non-profit sport organizations, as well as commercial and professional sport organizations within our sport system. In addition to this, students also study the skills required to be successful in the sport business environment and receive a comprehensive outline of the internship program that will assist them in preparing for their internships. As an experiential learning component students are required to participate in a volunteer opportunity in the field.
