This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of how to effectively manage communications in the sport management industry. A major emphasis is on examining the impact a positive public image has on successful sport organizations, and the strategies required to meet this objective. Students explore the role of social and digital media and understand not only the value they play in connecting an organization to its stakeholders but also how to effectively manage them. Students achieve this by completing a comprehensive communications strategy for a sport event.
