The course enables students to acquire knowledge and approaches needed to achieve constructive social change through the process of community work. Theories and practical applications will be discussed with a focus on the values of community work, power and how social structures are maintained and challenged, key objectives and approaches to organizing and the practical skills needed to organize around local and global issues.
