Students select a specific system of health or community services based on their prior professional education and experience. Students engage in an in-depth study of the chosen system to deepen knowledge and skills necessary to make the transition from a direct care/service provider to a systems navigator. Unique features of the system and the established mechanisms of operations, financial management, communications, change processes, and patient/client relationships contribute to learners gaining strategies for influencing seamless service delivery and systemic change.
