Students transition from theoretical learning to practical application. Focusing on TCM diagnosis and jurisprudence concepts, students apply TCM theory and biomedical foundations in supervised lab settings. Through simulations and direct patient contact, students develop compassionate, respectful therapeutic relationships, assess patients, and develop treatment principles in a safe and competent manner. Focus on building therapeutic relationship includes Mental Health First Aid Certification and an introduction to Cultural Competence, (the Social Determinants of Health) and Access, Equity and Inclusivity. Through clinical simulations, students integrate TCM and standardised medical assessment techniques to differentiate between TCM syndromes, create a TCM diagnosis, develop treatment principles, and understand how to monitor treatment outcomes. Students develop a professional and ethical manner using professional communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills in everyday practice.
