Students learn pharmacological terminology and the major drug classifications. Students examine the most clinically relevant drugs with consideration of their therapeutic actions and uses, potential adverse reactions, and safety precautions. Students appraise the potential of drug-drug and drug-herb interactions, in a theoretical case-based learning approach, so they can prescribe and advise safely as a TCM practitioner. Students gain insight into how this knowledge can be used effectively in a collaborative approach to patient care .
