Students learn the requisite knowledge and skills required to perform patient health assessments across the lifespan. Students recognize normal findings and are familiar with common abnormal findings in a physical exam. Students recognize the impact of culture and diversity in the health assessment, and apply professional communication to develop proper practitioner-client relationships. Students practice interview skills, history-taking, pain, physical, and psychosocial assessments .
