Students discuss the historic and cultural foundations of the profession and its journey to its current place as a regulated health profession in Ontario. They explore the responsibilities of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists and the ethical considerations that must be made in clinical practice. Students develop a sense of professional identity through the exploration of historical context, regulatory frameworks, and patient safety.
