Students analyze and appreciate professional regulations and their application to the safe and legal practice of acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine in Ontario. They discuss and evaluate the professions scope of practice and code of ethics, infection prevention and control and the management of potentially dangerous clinical situations while prioritizing patient needs. Students interpret and apply the professional standards to safely navigate complicated interpersonal and interprofessional clinical scenarios in adherence with both the Jurisprudence and Safety programs established by the professional regulatory body (CTCMPAO).
