In this lab-based course, students develop competency in the general procedures of External Therapeutics, focusing on techniques such as auricular acupuncture, moxibustion (direct and indirect), cupping, and the use of supplementary devices. Emphasis is placed on adapting the clinical setting for patient comfort and safety, positioning patients for treatment, locating selected points, applying treatment techniques, and monitoring patient responses. Through hands-on practice, students learn to select and apply appropriate stimulation techniques while considering contraindications and precautions, ensuring safe and effective treatments.
