Students develop the essential diagnostic and communication skills needed for TCM practice. This lab-based course emphasizes a compassionate, patient-centered approach to gathering health histories and conducting basic clinical assessments. Through hands-on experience, students refine key TCM diagnostic methods, such as pulse-taking, tongue inspection, constitution analysis, and facial diagnosis as well as procedures in measuring vital signs. Standardized assessment tools and outcomes measures are integrated to help students develop accurate diagnoses, create treatment plans, and monitor treatment outcomes.
