Academic Year: 2026-2027
Students develop the essential diagnostic and communication skills needed for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practice. This lab-based course emphasizes a compassionate and inclusive, patient-centred approach to gathering health histories and conducting basic clinical assessments. Through hands-on experience, students refine key TCM diagnostic methods and integrate these with standardized assessment tools and outcomes measures to develop accurate diagnoses. They explore acupuncture point combination theory and its application in clinical practice to create balanced acupuncture point prescriptions and ensure patient comfort and safety. The integration of these skills guides students in their treatment planning and monitoring of therapeutic outcomes aligned with patient goals.
