Course Code: TCMA 206
Academic Year: 2026-2027
Students integrate anatomical knowledge, acupuncture point location, and needling procedures through hands-on practice and cadaver-based learning in this practical skills course. By using cadavers, students gain a deeper insight into the relationship between anatomy and acupuncture, enhancing the understanding of target and vulnerable structures, improving the accuracy, efficacy, and safety of their needling skills. They practice basic needle manipulation, clean needling procedures and acupuncture risk management with classmates and simulated patients. By the end of the course, students demonstrate the knowledge and skills required to safely and effectively perform acupuncture, preparing them for future clinical placement.
