Building on the foundational nutritional principles introduced in Health Preservation, students deepen their knowledge as they explore the application of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) diet prescriptions for managing illness. Students examine the therapeutic applications of food in addressing TCM syndromes, considering the energetic properties of foods, preparation methods, patient constitution, and the impact of seasonal and environmental factors. Students analyze and apply TCM dietary therapies tailored to specific conditions, integrating theoretical knowledge with clinical application. Students will identify the role of personalized nutrition in patient-centred care, and incorporate dietary prescriptions into their TCM practice for a multifaceted approach to maintaining and restoring health.
