Students apply their knowledge of TCM theory, diagnosis, herbology, acupuncture, tuina, and diet therapy to the care of both paediatric and elderly populations. Students understand the unique health characteristics and needs of children and the elderly, focusing on the physiological and pathological differences that affect diagnosis and treatment. They explore the typical symptoms, etiology, pathogenesis, and syndrome differentiation of common TCM pediatric and geriatric conditions, developing tailored treatment plans that incorporate a holistic approach to care. The course emphasizes adapting TCM techniques and strategies to ensure safety and efficacy in these vulnerable populations.
