Through the exploration of key business concepts, students learn to create and manage contracts and leases, address human resource management issues, and navigate the legal responsibilities of healthcare employers. They also gain practical knowledge in accounting, billing for insurance claims, income tax filing, and financial management tailored to healthcare settings. Students develop strategies for billing and marketing within the framework of the Regulated Health Professions Act, ensuring compliance and financial sustainability. By applying practical business concepts, students acquire the tools needed to establish and maintain patient-centered practices while upholding professional and ethical standards.
