Students explore the diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the eyes, ears, mouth, nose, and throat using Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Students deepen their understanding of the normal physiology of these organs and explore typical signs, symptoms, aetiology, and pathogenesis of diseases in these regions. Students develop a systematic clinical approach to diagnosing and managing ophthalmological and otolaryngological conditions using acupuncture and herbal medicine, with a focus on recognizing opportunities for collaborative care, identifying red flags, and determining when referral is necessary.
