Students identify a research or practice question aligned with their interests in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). With guidance from a faculty mentor, students refine this inquiry into a feasible project. Emphasis is placed on formulating a clear research question, reviewing existing literature, designing appropriate methodologies, and creating a detailed project timeline. Students also address logistical considerations such as ethics, resources, and collaboration. All students must complete the TCPS 2: Course on Research Ethics (2022) and obtain approval from Humber's Research Ethics Board (REB) before proceeding. By the end of this course, students present a formal project proposal for implementation in Research Capstone II.
