Circuit Applications

Course Code: TECH 159

Academic Year: 2024-2025

This course helps students consolidate their knowledge of electronic circuits as they complete one year of introductory work in electronics, and at the same time it gives them their first opportunity to develop professional shop practices. The course's goal is a creative synthesis, giving students the opportunity to combine their knowledge from different courses in new ways while they exercise their analytical and critical thinking skills. The students will develop a systematic approach to creating circuits and to testing them - first as physical constructions on breadboard and printed circuit boards, then as models to be simulated in the MULTISIM software environment. The students have the opportunity to discuss their circuits and simulations in small groups and to present their final products to the class.
