The purpose of this course is to discuss the field of rehabilitation and to enable students to develop their verbal, non-verbal communication and active listening skills relative to rehabilitation and social situations. Current global, national and provincial health care issues related to legislation, privacy and interprofessional collaboration are addressed in the context of the OTA/PTA in the therapeutic environment. There will be the opportunity to discuss issues and changes confronting the system, health and personnel and the public.
