Students will be introduced to the theatrical design process with a focus on the relationships between the designer and narrative, designer and director, designer and space, and designer and the creative/production team. Students will also examine the work of prominent Canadian theatrical designers and a variety of aesthetic styles. Practical skills used for both concept and design development will be introduced.
