This introductory course examines the many sectors of the tourism industry by exploring key facts and trends in each sector and familiarizing students with industry terminology. Students will also be introduced to career paths and opportunities in the tourism industry with a guest speaker visit and an experiential field trip. Additionally, this course focuses on developing academic skills and strategies as well as understanding college policies to ensure students continued success throughout the Tourism- Travel Services Management program.
