In this course students will analyze many of the world's most important tourism destinations in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. In addition, students will develop the essential destination knowledge and industry-relevant sales strategies required to successfully promote these experiences to the Canadian consumer. Through readings, lectures, discussions, applied research and a mock-trade show project, students will become proficient in the physical geography, climate, visitor perspectives, cultural identity, touristic highlights and local tourism infrastructure to further develop a global knowledge of tourism product.
