Selling the destinations of Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Oceania, and the Pacific focuses on the geographic, cultural, social, economic, and environmental factors that drive the tourism experience and sales throughout these regions. Visitor perspectives, tourism patterns and activities, target markets, modes of transportation, and accommodation options will also be explored. These destinations offer an abundance of travel options for the consumer, and it is essential that tourism professionals understand the unique selling strategies of each of these regions. Students will develop the necessary destination knowledge and skills to sell and promote tourism in these regions successfully.
