This introductory level course will provide a structure and practice of contemporary drawing and artmaking based on both observation of the visual world and a growing awareness of visual language. Students embark on a regimen of experimental drawing exercises within a contemporary and conceptual approach to seeing. Students will be working in a variety of mediums and through an experiential learning approach to observation, rendering and transiting ideas. Students will apply the possibilities of extending traditional concepts concerning the parameters of drawing.
