Virtual Production Capstone offers students an experiential learning experience journey of virtual production (VP) through hands-on collaboration with a professional commercial company and an experienced commercial film director. The primary objective of this course is to produce a spec commercial for a product, providing students access to the real-world pipeline within the VP and commercial industry. The course emphasizes teamwork and collaboration, as students work closely with 3D animation and film peers to create a high-level VP production within an LED Volume setting. Students will perform in the roles of VP Technical Director, UE On-set Technician, Motion Capture Technical Director, VP Producer and Virtual Art Department (VAD) Supervisor. Students will be involved in documenting the process for a variety of outputs and platforms.
