This course will introduce students to all business aspects related to Virtual Production. Students will begin by understanding the global context of VP businesses, including studios (volumes), technical companies, content-creation companies and education. Students will build a portfolio that will showcase their skills to best showcase and situate their talent in the industry. Students will learn about how to approach a mentor in VP and other networking approaches specific to this industry. Students will explore transmedia business opportunities that push the boundaries of the VP industry. Students will learn about business skills, such as financing, marketing, proposal and grant writing, which can empower them to develop their own businesses in the industry as well as contribute to the existing VP industry.
