This course will introduce students to all business aspects related to Virtual Production. Students will begin by understanding the global context of VPbusinesses, including studios (volumes), technical companies, content-creation companies and education. Students will create a business plan and update a portfolio that will showcase their personal brand to the industry. Students will explore transmedia business opportunities and AI tools to enhance business efficiency in the VP industry. Students will learn about hiring collaborators in ancillary industries and interviewing processes. Students will learn about business skills, such as financing, marketing, proposal and grant writing, which can empower them to develop their own businesses in the industry as well as contribute to the existing VP industry.
