In this course, students are invited to experience the practice of mindfulness, learn about the history and principles of mindfulness, and apply mindfulness in their own life as a coach and as a practitioner. Specifically, students learn to describe the historical evolution of mindfulness theories and principles; discuss current theories and principles of mindfulness; explain how mindfulness enhances clarity in purpose and productivity in the workplace; communicate mindfulness concepts and experiences through written and oral communication; apply mindfulness skills to cultivate and establish a personal practice; recognize moments of mindfulness in daily life; and open their minds to creative and introspective learning techniques to communicate more effectively with others.
