Healthy eating is a cornerstone of preventive health and is a common challenge for those seeking to improve general health and wellness. In this course, students investigate eating habits and barriers to healthy eating; they discuss Canada's food guide and credible nutrition resources, and also build planning and preparation skills for quick and healthy meals, as well as adapting recipes to include healthy substitutions. Students get hands-on experience in meal-planning, grocery shopping, meal preparation strategies and cooking quality food, to build health and enjoyment.
