Students learn about new advanced cellular networks that support a number of next-generation technologies and applications with various engineering needs, such as very high data rates, low latency and a high number of devices. Students examine the core network for the current generation of technology and the periphery networks that are used to support services. A focus of the course is to understand the messaging between user equipment and how it interacts with core network and how to integrate other systems with the core network.
