Internships provide practical experiences for students to apply previous learning in a work environment. Through this course, students develop and practice nutrition education and communication skills such as customer service, group education, nutrition assessment, and counselling and coaching clients one-on-one to meet their nutrition and healthy lifestyle goals. Students will apply various techniques to help people adopt healthy lifestyle changes, focusing on strategies and techniques to increase motivation and confidence to change. The course allows students to practice in individual and group based settings with diverse industry and community partners.
