The course provides practical experiences for students to apply previous learning within a sector of the hospitality industry. The internship encourages students to apply skills and implement knowledge learned in the classroom to the needs of the current workplace. Students will have an industry professional as their mentor and be provided with a practical, applied and experiential learning opportunity. The Hospitality Management-Hotel & Restaurant Internship will present the student with a variety of opportunities to select from a broad range of leading hotels, resorts, food and beverage operations as well as other sectors of the hospitality industry. The internship requires students to work a minimum of a 24 hours a week for 12 weeks.
