The course provides practical experiences for students to apply previous learning at an approved Event Industry partner. While each learning experience will differ due to the type of company, each student will have the opportunity to work both individually and collaboratively in a workplace environment. The placement encourages students to apply skills and implement knowledge learned in the classroom to the needs of the current workplace. Students will have an industry professional as their mentor and be provided with a practical, applied and experiential learning opportunity. The work placement will present the student with a variety of opportunities to select from a broad range of event management organizations. The placement requires students to work a minimum of a 160 hours.
