Comedy Script Writing 2

In Comedy Script Writing - HCCC 404, students hone the comic narratives techniques learned in HCCC 304. Students study feature film structure, including Blake Snyder s 15-Point Beat Sheet, and structure theory to films such as The Ring and Groundhog Day. There is a continued emphasis placed on understanding story, character and plot devices. Each student creates and writes an original short film, show bible, 22-minute half hour or short story. These projects are written through a development phase that mirrors work a writer would do with a story editor.
