Course Code

SNRG 203

Academic Year

2016-2017

This course builds on skills and knowledge acquired in SNRG107 and SNRG 154 in furthering students' ability to use AutoCAD 2D architectural design software to design and detail residential wood-frame buildings. Students systematically conceptualize, design and detail a single or two-storey wood-frame dwelling as a large design project spanning the semester. The project will adhere to the Ontario Building Code and incorporate best practices in sustainable design. Students develop a set of architectural prints that include a site plan, floor plans, elevations, sections and details that are fully annotated to industry standards.
