Academic Year

2016-2017

This course introduces students to control systems with a focus on building automation systems that control mechanical and electrical equipment, fluid and air flows based on environmental variables, sensor inputs and building/user needs. These technologies are essential in proper building commissioning and user friendly, integrated energy efficient solutions. Traditional solutions are compared to electronic and digital solutions in terms of their reliability, cost and ease of use. Programming fundamentals are covered in this course. Working in small teams, students design, program, build and demonstrate an automated, efficient building system
