This course combines in-class learning with actual work experience in the recreation industry. The students acquire an internship that requires them to utilize the knowledge and skills taught in other program-related courses. During the internship, students work closely with an on-site supervisor to develop necessary job skills that are needed for future employment success. The internship requires students to work a minimum of 14 hours per week for a 10-week period, followed by a 4-week block at 35 hours per week.
