This course broadens students understanding of the many influences on health and explores current health promotion strategies used to influence nutritional in Canada. Students gain the practical, step-by-step knowledge required to effectively promote and communicate nutrition messages to the general population. This course also outlines marketing and merchandising strategies from a foodservice retail perspective. Students learn how to incorporate key marketing and promotion strategies for menus, to sell their suitability to their target customer groups.
