This course provides a working knowledge of the mathematical skills required for more advanced courses in the Fitness and Health Promotion program. Mathematical calculations will be used in future courses in order to assess components of fitness as well as the physiological and biomechanical demands of specific exercise programs. This course reviews mathematical models and calculations and introduces the applications of mathematics in fitness and health. A review of basic statistics also enhances the students ability to understand research findings and methodologies.
