This course will focus on the fundamental principles and practices used in residential and commercial construction. Major topics include an introduction to the building process, choice of construction materials, site layout, foundations, formwork and concrete, reinforced concrete, structural timber and steel framing, and the potential for using renewable energy in the design process.
