Pedagogical Grammar 2

The Pedagogical Grammar 2 course is the continuation of the Pedagogical Grammar 1 course. Pedagogical Grammar 2 focuses on the methodology, techniques and principles of teaching grammar in an ESL classroom. The course prepares prospective teachers of English as a Second Language to teach grammar in ESL contexts in accordance to an ESL curriculum. It focuses on the development and execution of grammar lesson plans, the evaluation, selection and adaptation of grammar activities and materials, and error correction in the ESL classroom. The students will apply their grammatical knowledge of forms and functions to the teaching of structures within a communicative framework in meaningful, authentic lessons. Emphasis will be given to in-class demonstrations and the micro-teaching of grammatical structures.
