This course offers a practical and systematic approach to plant health care (PHC) and integrated pest management (IPM) and integrates with LAND 121 Sustainable Horticultural Practices I. Key identification features of pests, diseases, beneficial insects and natural controls are covered using visual methodology, problem solving, and cultural solutions to biotic and abiotic problems in the landscape. Current legislation, safety measures, formulations and environmental concerns are discussed.
