This course is a continuance of PFP 303 Police Powers and focuses on police governance and accountability issues related to the Police Services Act, police complaints, Special Investigations Unit, and management and labour issues. Use of force theory, law and other legal issues related to the use of force are discussed. Theory related to officer safety is examined.
