Preparing for Professional Practice

This seminar-style course prepares students for their field projects, their work term, and for issues related to professional conduct in child and youth care practice. Issues such as the need for documentation, confidentiality, agency and college policy, and work place safety are discussed. Students are supported in completing their child and youth care resume, and gathering the personal documentation such as police checks and health records necessary prior to working in child and youth care practice.
