In this course students learn the psychological factors that influence individual and group behaviour in various performance settings (e.g., sport, business, performing arts). Students are introduced to the basic concepts of sport psychology as well as psychological skills training (PST) techniques used to enhance performance. Topics relate to aspects of athletic excellence and personal growth and include but are not limited to composure, confidence, concentration, leadership, group dynamics, psychology of injury, and motivation.
