This course provides students with a practical understanding of the guidelines and procedures used in planning and executing a special event. A major component of this course involves a student- operated event. The students manages all aspects of their event, from conception to completion. Classroom material are delivered using a variety of methods to simulate the event-planning process including lectures, committee meetings and seminar formats. Note: Participation in events outside of class as prescribed in this outline is a requirement of course completion.
